Ben Delaney, PMHNP-BC

Ben is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and serves as the Director of Psychiatry at the Murray Center. He oversees our psychiatric department while providing expert medication management for children, adolescents, and adults. Ben believes that successful psychiatric care begins with careful listening, thoughtful clinical reasoning, and selecting treatments that are tailored to each patient's symptoms, diagnosis, goals, and concerns.

Ben earned his Master's degree in Nursing Science from Wayne State University with a specialty in Psychiatric Mental Health. He completed his psychiatric training at several outpatient private practices and clinics throughout Metro Detroit and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, and a wide range of other mental health conditions.

Ben is known for his exceptional knowledge of psychopharmacology and his ability to solve even the most challenging medication questions. Patients often seek him out after struggling with ineffective treatment elsewhere because of his reputation for identifying the right medication strategy when others have fallen short. His treatment recommendations are grounded in the latest psychiatric research, extensive clinical experience, and careful consideration of each patient's unique presentation.

Rather than simply prescribing medication, Ben approaches each case like a clinical puzzle. He thoughtfully weighs symptoms, diagnoses, side effects, medical history, and patient preferences to develop treatment plans that are both effective and individualized. His decisiveness, depth of knowledge, and confidence in clinical decision-making have earned him an incredibly loyal patient following and consistently outstanding patient outcomes.
