Don't stand us up! Just call or email
I am all tied up. Can I reschedule?
Seriously. We like you. We'd rather see you than charge you for an appointment you never attended. Life happens. Calendars get mixed up. Kids get sick. Meetings run long. Sometimes you simply forget. That's why we make it incredibly easy to reach us.

Call us.
Email us.
Text us.

Just let us know.
First Appointment
If you do not attend your very first appointment with the Murray Center and do not provide at least 24 hours' notice, there is a $75 no-show fee.
Once You're an Established Patient
We know life is messy. That's why your first late cancellation or no-show is on us.
No fee.
Instead, we'll send you a friendly email reminder of our attendance policy so everyone is on the same page. After that, any appointment canceled with less than 24 hours' notice, or any missed appointment without notice, is charged the full cost of the scheduled visit. Insurance companies do not pay for missed appointments, and we cannot bill them for no-show fees.
"But I Didn't Get Therapy..."
Totally true.
But your clinician also couldn't see another patient during the hour that was reserved for you. When you book an appointment, you're reserving time, not just receiving a service. That hour belongs to you until you tell us otherwise.
Emergencies Happen
If you're sick, there's been an emergency, or something truly unexpected happens, call us. We're reasonable people. We're far more interested in hearing from you than collecting a fee.
Communication goes a long way.

One Tiny Favor
Please don't make our front desk team the villain.
They're lovely people who did not wake up hoping to discuss cancellation policies. They're simply applying the same policy fairly to everyone.
We're not trying to be difficult, and we're certainly not trying to profit from missed appointments. In fact, we'd much rather spend the hour helping you than charging a fee.
And About ADHD...
We work in mental health. Trust us, we know ADHD is real. Anxiety, Depression, Overwhelm, and Executive dysfunction are all very very real. Parenting three kids while answering work emails is also... very, very real. Many of our own patients are here because remembering appointments is genuinely difficult. None of that makes you a bad person. But your clinician still reserved that hour. If remembering appointments is something you struggle with, tell us. Seriously.
We'll help you come up with reminder systems, scheduling strategies, or whatever works best for your brain. We also have email and text reminders. A portal you can check your appointment times in and a front desk who is happy to answer your call anytime you can't remember when and where.
We're on your team.
The Bottom Line
We'd much rather see you than charge you a no show fee.
So if life happens...
Just call us.
We promise we'll answer with a lot more kindness than this policy probably made you expect.
Thanks for understanding.
Now... don't stand us up.
